Polly Mott Munger is a multi-disciplinary artist from Santa Cruz, California. She is most likely to be found throwing pots at the wheel and shooting 35mm film, but her practice also touches dance, printmaking, cooking, and tattoo. Polly’s art is always reaching towards the land: whether by capturing the erotic of farm veggies, wood-firing pots and using glazes that emulate the ocean, exploring how bodies fit into a landscape and dancing with toes in the earth. While she wishes she could catch moments in jars to enjoy forever, she uses art to archive moments of beauty, prayer and interdependence into two and three-dimensional vessels of memory.
